Consultations

Scheduling your consultation with Valley Wound Care Specialists is the first step on your journey of healing. When you make an appointment with our providers, you will be sent an e-mail that prompts you to download our new patient paperwork packet (if needed, this can be mailed to you). Please complete this packet to the best of your ability as your medical history is vital to crafting your treatment plan. When you arrive for your appointment, we will ask for your paperwork packet, insurance card, and identification for our records.

One of our skilled medical assistants or nurses will escort you to one of our comfortable treatment rooms. They will review your medical history in detail to gain a better understanding of your issue. By learning about your history, “we can treat the whole patient, not just the hole in the patient”. This is a key aspect of treating wounds appropriately. Often, there are multiple factors we need to consider to aid you in your healing process.

After an assessment has been made, we begin to craft your treatment plan. Our methods vary greatly from patient-to-patient as you are the key factor in your treatment plan. We work with you and focus on positive patient outcomes, a realistic course of treatment, and getting you back to your life.

Your treatment begins with your first visit. We have numerous diagnostic tests, instruments, and dressing options in office to help make your treatment the most effective one for you. We have highly specialized wound-measuring techniques and wound photography software that helps track your progress.

Depending on your healing plan, you may require home-based treatment. We work with a large variety of home health companies and durable medical equipment supply companies to aid you with your treatment outside of the office.

At Valley Wound Care Specialists, we accept most insurance plans. Please contact us for additional information.
