Pam has been active in the nursing field since 1995 when she started working in a local hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Pam fell in love with nursing and returned to Arizona State University to earn her Baccalaureate of Nursing degree, graduating in 2000. After graduating, she began working on an oncology unit at a local hospital. She quickly developed a passion for wound and ostomy nursing and obtained her National Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification from Emory University in 2003. Since that time, Pam has devoted her nursing career to the treatment of people with wounds and ostomies. Pam returned to school and obtained her Masters in Nursing Science at the University of Phoenix, graduating in 2015. She has been happily working with Valley Wound Care Specialists since that time.

Pam has been very active within local and national professional nursing associations such as the Arizona Nurses Association (AzNA), the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society (WOCN), and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Pam has served on the Board of Directors as Past President and Vice President of the Rocky Mountain Region of the WOCN. In addition, Pam has been an active committee member for AzNA and continues to be active in local professional activities.

Throughout her nursing career Pam has provided mentorship and training of wound and ostomy nurses, Physician Assistants, Physicians, International nursing students, and nursing assistants. Pam has developed and participated in many educational opportunities throughout the local health care community in the hospital setting as well as the home care setting. Pam truly enjoys working with her patients, colleagues and other health care professionals.

 

Pam continues to work with patients to develop common goals for treatments and promote outstanding healing outcomes. She is a dedicated patient advocate and shares the vision of Valley Wound Care Specialists.

 

Pam has been married for over three decades and still enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and biking with her husband. Although lately, she spends most of her free time spoiling her new grandson.
