Kurt Holifield, FNP-C, is a highly experienced board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner Wound and Ostomy Nurse with more than 20 years of dedicated service in healthcare. Grounded in a passion for compassionate, patient-centered care, Kurt brings a comprehensive clinical background spanning cardiovascular intensive care, specialty hospital settings, subacute and long-term acute care (LTAC), and advanced outpatient wound management.

Kurt earned his Associate of Science in Nursing from Glendale Community College and went on to complete his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain College of Nursing in Phoenix, Arizona, where he completed his Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration. He achieved AANP board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in August 2022 and holds additional certifications in ostomy care.
Since joining Valley Wound Care Specialists in February 2024, Kurt serves as a Wound Medicine Advanced Practice Nurse, focused on treating the whole patient — not just the wound. He collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans for patients with complex chronic conditions. He is proficient in a broad range of advanced wound care modalities and is passionate about advancing the wound medicine specialty.

Kurt is committed to holistic, preventative, evidence-based practice and takes pride in empowering patients through education, active participation in their care, and collaborative goal-setting. His clinical expertise, combined with his dedication to improved patient outcomes, makes him a valued member of the Valley Wound Care team.
In his spare time, Kurt enjoys working out, spending time with his family and 2 dogs, hiking, and experiencing all that Arizona has to offer.
